Hello Families!
What a great first two weeks of school! All of the kiddos did an amazing job adjusting to being back in school full time and quickly picked up our routines. For the next four weeks we'll be learning about "Community Helpers". The first week was an overall introduction to the unit.
Last week we read and learned about firefighters! The students were really engaged and enjoyed the various activities we did. On Friday we even made a Mr. Potato Head into a firefighter and each student had to identify what piece of clothing to put on based upon what we've learned about.
While reading, the students used their communication boards to help answer questions or even use their tactile symbols! They were able to go up to the board where our story is projected to identify specific pictures or details.
